Mariam Diakite is a multidisciplinary designer based in San Francisco, California. She loves to learn and is eager to expand her knowledge in all design disciplines. She is a senior at the University of San Francisco working towards a BA in Design and a minor in Film.
She comes from a multicultural Ivorian-American family, and her cultural background has heavily inspired her work and influenced her creative identity. When not designing, her interests include fiber art 🧶, fashion, and West African album art/music.
Mariam’s work is a reflection on the past in the present. She turns to her families West African record collection , 60s-70s Life magazines, and old films for inspiration.
Currently, I’m interning at Chandelier Creative. Previously, I interned at The New Company.
